The people behind HMC.

Dr Sorosh Mirfasihi (BEng, PhD, FHEA) is a mechanical engineer specialising in process simulation, multiphase flow, mixing and industrial scale-up. His PhD at The University of Manchester, with Unilever as industrial partner, examined the mixing of liquids with high viscosity contrasts in stirred vessels, and his later work developed empirical scale-up rules for consumer goods manufacturing. Through his consultancy work he has led simulation-driven process design and optimisation projects across consumer goods, energy, infrastructure, medical devices and data centres. At VesiNex he led the scale-up of the HMC platform from laboratory to commercial production.

Dr Elham Kerdari is a pharmaceutical scientist (PharmD) and the inventor of the HMC platform, with more than ten years of experience taking formulations from concept to commercial manufacture. She founded and leads a formulation-led pharmaceutical company, where she took HMC from its original concept to GMP-compatible production and commercial products, including a lipid-based liquid that carries omega-3 with vitamins C, D3 and E. Earlier, as Deputy of R&D and Quality Control at a pharmaceutical manufacturer, she led formulation development, technology transfer and scale-up across complex oral liquids, modified-release solids and injectables, supported by expertise in nanoscale characterisation, regulatory dossiers and computational drug discovery.

Samin Mousavi leads marketing and communications at VesiNex. She is responsible for the company's brand, its digital presence and the materials used with partners and investors, from presentations and product storytelling to campaign planning and content. She brings more than twelve years of experience as a creative producer and director in Berlin, including commercial, fashion and promotional work, and translates VesiNex's science into clear, credible communication for each audience.
