Privacy notice

We collect personal data only when you send us an enquiry through the contact form or by email, plus the standard technical logs our hosting provider keeps to deliver and secure the site. We use it to reply to you and to keep the site secure. We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or cookies, we do not sell your data, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is VesiNex Biosystems Ltd. We have not appointed a data protection officer; questions about this notice or your data can be sent to the email address below.

Your name, company, email address, the enquiry type you choose, and the content of your message.

If you email us or we continue a conversation with you, the content of those emails and any details you choose to include (for example your job title or phone number).

Server logs

When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records technical data needed to deliver and protect it: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, special category data (for example health information) through the contact form. The form is the only part of this site that collects information you type in; there are no accounts, payments or newsletters.

Data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for each purpose. Ours are:

Replying to your enquiry

Reading your message, routing it to the right person (licensing, application discussion, investment or a general enquiry) and replying. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f)), or, where you are asking about working with us, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).

Ongoing business discussions

If an enquiry leads to a business relationship, keeping a record of our correspondence with you. Lawful basis: performance of, or steps towards, a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interests in running our business (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Keeping the site secure

Using server logs to deliver the site, detect and prevent abuse, spam and attacks, and diagnose faults. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in operating a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Legal obligations

Keeping records or disclosing information where the law requires it, and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and, for legal claims, our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against your rights and expectations; you can ask us for more detail. We do not rely on consent for any of the above, so the contact form has no consent checkbox. We will not use your enquiry details to send you marketing.

Providing your details is voluntary, but we need your name, email and message to be able to reply.

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it on our behalf and on our instructions, and with others only where necessary:

FormSubmit

formsubmit.co (opens in a new tab) is a form-to-email relay based in the United States that receives contact-form submissions from your browser and emails them to our inbox. (If we switch to the alternative relay Web3Forms, it performs the same role.)

ImprovMX

improvmx.com (opens in a new tab) is an email-forwarding service that forwards messages sent to info@vesinex.com to our company mailbox.

The provider that hosts our company mailbox, where enquiries and correspondence are stored.

Vercel

vercel.com (opens in a new tab) (Vercel Inc., based in the United States) hosts this website and its content delivery network, and keeps the server logs described above.

Professional advisers and authorities

Our lawyers, accountants and other professional advisers where needed, and regulators, law enforcement or courts where the law requires it. If the company or its business is sold or restructured, data may pass to the new owner under the same protections.

Some of our service providers (including FormSubmit, Vercel and ImprovMX) may process your data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or on an adequacy decision (for example the UK–US Data Bridge, where the recipient is certified). You can contact us for more information about the safeguards that apply.

Enquiries and correspondence

Up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless a business relationship follows, in which case we keep it for as long as that relationship lasts and for any period afterwards that the law requires or that is needed to deal with legal claims.

For the period set by our hosting provider, typically no more than 30 days.

Copies held by relays

Form and email relays keep only what they need to deliver messages, under their own retention terms.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it securely.

Where we ever rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time, without affecting anything we did before.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@vesinex.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. There is normally no charge, and we will respond within one month (this can be extended by up to two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you).

If you are unhappy with how we have used your data, please contact us first at info@vesinex.com so we can try to put it right.

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not profile visitors.

This website is intended for businesses and investors. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS (TLS), with HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) so browsers always connect securely. Contact-form submissions are sent over encrypted connections, and access to our mailbox and service accounts is restricted to people who need it and protected by access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take appropriate steps to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.

This site links to third-party websites (for example a public patent register and Companies House). Those sites have their own privacy notices, and we are not responsible for how they handle your data.

We may update this notice from time to time, for example if we change service providers. The date below shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change that affects how we use data we already hold about you, we will tell you directly where appropriate.
